Chicago's post-punk blues-infused duo Drilling for Blasting are releasing their much-anticipated first full length record since starting almost six years ago. A joint release by Underground Communique Records (Chicago) and Let's Pretend Records (Bloomington, Indiana), the Electrical Audio-recorded "Fingers Are The Best Eyes" contains ten tracks, and features art by Ian Floetl. To kick off the vinyl release, Drilling for Blasting will be joined by scene veterans Chicken Happen, The Brokedowns, and WIG - an eclectic mix of true Chicago underground / indy / punk / post-punk talent - in a truly unique show experience. The show's format features all four bands set up with four sound systems. Each band will play a song in turn, with the audience ”in the round”, providing two hours of continuous music - a FOUR WAY SHOW - the likes of which Chicago showgoers have never experienced before. Join them on Saturday, June 8th at the Chop Shop, 2033 W North Avenue, Chicago (9pm, 18 & over, $10 advance, $12 at the door) for this unique and insane event.
